If your water pressure is likely to exceed 80 psi, a pressure regulator must be installed before the filter housing to prevent the pressure from exceeding the maximum rating. It is recommended to set the pressure regulator at 60 psi or less. 4. The rubber O-ring provides the water-tight seal between the cap and the sump. It is crucial that the O-ring is properly seated in the groove to prevent water leaks.
