This 55W ultraviolet light bulb is a replacement for Ultraviolet Light Water Purifier Whole House UV Sterilizer systems, rated at 12 GPM (gallons per minute). It effectively eliminates a wide range of contaminants, including cryptosporidium, giardia, and various other microorganisms.

UV Lamp Replacement: Replacing the UV lamp is a quick and easy process that requires no special skills or tools. Follow these steps: 1. Disconnect the UV system from power and allow it to cool down for a few minutes. 2. Turn off the water supply and drain the system before removing the lamp. 3. Wear gloves to prevent contamination of the lamp surface. 4. Carefully disconnect the lamp cord and remove the lamp from the chamber, avoiding any contact with the quartz sleeve. 5. Slide the new UV lamp into the quartz sleeve and attach the ballast. 6. Carefully insert the assembly into the stainless steel reactor chamber and secure the end cover.

The lamp can be mounted vertically or horizontally, with the incoming water flow entering from the bottom of the housing and moving upwards for vertical installations. For initial setup, it is recommended to install the quartz sleeve in a horizontal position for better sealing.
