Shop / geekpure 5 stage reverse osmosis
Customizable Connection Options Removing the aerator from your kitchen or bathroom sink and using one of the included adapters allows you to easily connect the system to a standard garden hose thread. Alternatively, you can use the included hose-to-1/4" tubing adapter or connect directly to your washing machine's spigot.
Filtered and Waste Water Production All reverse osmosis (RO) units produce both filtered water and concentrate (waste) water. The water that does not pass through the membrane is the waste water, which has a higher concentration of total dissolved solids (TDS) and is safe to use for watering plants.
Versatile Applications The RO Buddie+DI system can produce up to 2 gallons of filtered water per hour, making it suitable for a variety of applications, such as aquariums, humidifiers, and specialty plants. Simply use a bucket or barrel to collect the water for later use.
Easy Plumbing and Maintenance The included 1/4" tubing can be easily plumbed, as the press-fit connectors create a leak-free setup. The translucent sediment and deionization (DI) resin cartridges allow you to monitor their condition, indicating when the sediment cartridge needs replacement and when the DI resin has become exhausted.
Convenient Operation Operating the RO Buddie is straightforward – simply turn on the faucet to start producing RO/DI water. When finished, turn off the faucet. To prevent potential overflow, it's recommended to place the system in a tub or use a timer to help remember to turn it off.
Considerations for Water Conditions For users in the New York City area, it's suggested to use an additional prefilter due to the water quality reported in the recent Water Quality Report.
For well water users, it's important to check for the presence of carbon dioxide (CO2), as it can quickly deplete the DI resin cartridge.
While the RO Buddie's carbon cartridge removes chlorine from tap water, it does not remove chloramines. It's recommended to check with your water company or test your water for chloramines before purchasing.
Product Options The RO Buddie system is available in four models, each with varying maximum filtered water production capacities:
All models require an ideal supply water pressure of 65 PSI and a temperature of 77°F. The filtration stages and replacement intervals for the sediment and carbon filters are consistent across the product line.
